Hi Everyone,
My son who has dmd has asked me if he can donate his body part's to help other people, when he die's, or when he is old enough give blood, " i dont know" was my answer, would anyone out there know weather someone with dmd could do any of those thing's, it would be interesting to know if anyone else has thought of this.
Kyla.

As for blood he has to be 17 anyway, but as far as I know his blood is not infected, but as you will know they treat all bloody anyway, so he might. organs this depends the heart is a muscle so thats doubtful, but his kidney liver might be OK.
But he is a bit young to be thinking of this. |

Hi Treborc,
Yes, he may be a little young, but my son is very switch on, and this is somthing that he has asked for himself, we have not mentioned or talked about it in the past, so i have to respect his wishes in finding out an answer for him, then when age or time is right for him, he will make his mind up.
