Hi
As people here know I am a 39 year old with cp, over the few months I have been noticing that my ankle has swallan and my foot has been going numb when I stand on it and my foot hurt while I was walking on it.
On Monday I went to the Podiatry Clinic and they told me I had a inflamed tendon (the one from my heel to my big toe). They gave me a wedge to put in my shoes to rest the tendon, this has helped the pain but my foot is still going numb when I stand. Is the numbness anything to do with the tendon or is it another problem, maybe to do with my built up shoe.
Has anyone here had a smilier problem? if so what did you do?
Shaz (trying not to cry with the feeling of numbness to my foot)

The tendon can be swollen and touching a nerve, or it can be a blood vessel which is touching a nerve or it can be anything. You need to tell a doctor about it because if it is not a nerve it might be blood not getting to the foot.
