OK, guys, just pulling a few legs!

So, I life in Fife in Scotland, and I am a househusband having retired from work when I was 41. I was diagnosed when I was 34 with Multiple sclerosis tough the subsequent history suggests transverse myelitis a more likey diagnosis. I am paraplegic T6 (i.e. no movement below the chest) medical things subsequent to this are only patching up the problems as I am really pretty healthy. I retired due to the fatigue that dfemyelinating disease brings and have been much better for it.

We moved from Birmingham in 1991 after I had retired and I can tell you that Fife is a great place to live. in addition to being a househusband I have also gained a degree at the local uni.

Oh, I had nose surgery in December last. I was at an asthma screening for a reseach programme and the ENT doctor who checked me out said the septum, (the dividing wall in the nose) was bend and blocking the nose somewhat. I did not know this though i have sprayed loads of things up my nose to clear it. Oddly the GPs who had prescribed the sprays had not spotted the problem though when told somehow could then see it. The operatiion is called Seromplasty and you can see some accounts of it here: - http://www.quinlanfaris.com/nose/

So my interests include cooking though obviously I rather enjoy the eating too. Oh, and I enjoy singing in such choirs that are around where I live.

That's about it I think.

Hi bazzer47 and welcome Very Happy

It's a bit quiet round here at the moment, but you know what they say, from tiny acorns mighty rackets do grow, or something like that Wink

Hi Bazzer47

Nice to meet you. Thank you for joining the forum.

Granted, it is pretty quiet at the moment, but we are relatively new so with time we should grow.

In a few weeks, I will be adding a few things to the forum, including a section about mental health and discrimmination, as well as one or two quizzes.

So stick around, and don't forget to tell others about the forum, so we can help building our campaign!

Thanks again.
