In response to your poll on winter fuel allowance. It has always amazed me that the government have never seen fit to take into account disabled peoples heating needs. I know that elderly people get help, and rightly so, but as a disabled person and because of my condition, i to feel the cold very severly these days. Becasue i do not qualify for income support i get no help with meeting heating costs at all. Apparently my ill-health retirement pension takes me a few pounds over the threshold for getting it!

My heating this weather is on all the time because if it gets cold, I have very painful joints.

I agree, that we should get some help with the costs, I find it hard in the winter and I am constantly cold and when im cold my legs are very painful.

I totally agree.

I know that Disability Now was campaigning for it to be extended to Severe Disabled, but I'm not actually sure if anything came of it. But I really think it should be extended to all. It wouldn't cost the Government a great deal - especially when you think about the lastest costs for the London Olympics - and keeping warm is far more important.

It is one of the things I'm campaigning for, so keep that feedback coming guys!
